From October 29th to 31st2022, the “Zhejiang Cambridge Graduate Students Joint Forum: Digital Economy and Global Innovation” jointly organized by School of Economics at Zhejiang University and Judge Business School at University of Cambridge was successfully held. The forum was held in the joint form of online and offline meetings, with more than 40 teachers and students participating.
On October 29, PhD students Li Ke, Tang Xuepeng, Li Hongze and He Chong from Zhejiang University gavepresentation titled “Digital Finance and Residents’ Subjective Well-being”, “Does the Business Environment Promote Entrepreneurship?——Evidence from the China Household Finance Survey”, “Delegated Social Security Fund Management: Performance, Cross-Subsidization, and Spillover Effect”, “Industrial diversification, upgrading and regional economic resilience - a comparison based on the COVID-19 epidemic and the 2008 financial crisis”respectively. Prof David Stillwell, Prof Nektarios (Aris) Oraiopoulos, Prof Jostein Hauge from University of Cambridge gave valuable suggestions for revisions of the paper.
PhD students Sangeet Jain and Julius Bock from University of Cambridge in turn gave presentations on“Building health industrial ecosystems in the Global South: a study of productive capability-building in Indian pharma” and “Data Strategies In Industrial Companies & its applications”. Professor Luo Deming, Assistant Professor Zhou Kang and Yuan Song from School of Economics at Zhejiang University actively gave comments on their papers.
In the keynote speech session on October 30th, Professor David Stillwell and Professor Jostein Hauge gave in-depth presentations on AI& Decision-Making Using Data and Industrialization And World Economic Development. On October 31th, Professor Nektarios (Aris) Oraiopoulos presented on Global Leadership And Innovation.
